Tommy who confirms?
Excellent Tommy Paul in Toronto who can only portend good things in Cincinnati despite a faster surface which will require adaptation in his game..
The question everyone is asking here: why has Paul never beaten Kecmanovic in 2 confrontations? Worse still, the Rican did not even put on a set!
If we put their last confrontation in context (Australian Open 2022). I don't know if you remember but it was the Djokovic affair. Yet announced in the table, he was ultimately not accepted due to his non-vaccination to COVID19. Kecmanovic had to play him in the 1ᵉʳ round, and finally he plays Caruso and it will be the start of a crazy confidence for the Serb. Surely the best period of his career because he made 1/8ᵉ here, then chained the victories afterwards... until Djokovic returned. It reminds me of Wawrinka when Federer is not there. In short, all that to tell you that we can, in my opinion, legitimately relativize the match up between the two players and perhaps take advantage of a slightly badly cut rating given the form of each of the players at the moment t.
