What happened Carlitos?
No great Alcaraz since Wimbledon, should we be worried?
Since his coronation at Wimbledon it's 7 matches in 3 sets out of 8 played for Carlitos, he is far from being imperial but he has the merit of still being in contention. His match against Purcell yesterday perfectly represents his form at the moment, a lot of gross unforced errors especially in the forehand but despite everything an ability to win by not playing very well, the hallmark of champions. Faced with Hurkcaz he will have to put in more to get by, especially given their meeting last week, the conditions are faster and the Pole should be a little more serene on his service games logically. Hubert is having a really good tournament this week, it's consistent and you can feel it at all levels. Given what he shows this week I have the impression that Hurkacz leaves a little less outsider than last week and that is reflected in the odds..
