Mmoh the dream breaker?
Having ended Isner's career in the previous round, he can now cut short the ambitions of the talented Draper.
Match really not easy for Mmoh against a guy carried by the public and who played the last match of his career, Mmoh found himself in the middle of all that and took time to really get into his match. Led two zero sets he hung on and even saved a match point in the 5th set. A victory representative of his last good weeks where he showed a good level of play and a mental solidity that we did not know him too much. Much more constant and solid in the exchange with good ground coverage and well-felt acceleration. What he's been doing lately is very interesting but we have to put even more in the next round. Against Draper, aka the glass man, we're going to have to be a little better everywhere. Draper is also coming out of a rather strange match against a surely ill Hurkacz, the Pole was directly angry after the loss of the first game, we immediately saw that he was not having a good day. The Briton took advantage of this and left very few opportunities for his opponent to come back, a few double faults that need to be erased but it is already very solid what he offers. So much potential when he's not held back by injuries, it's gone really fast and his backhand is improving nicely. In short we have two good players, Mmoh confirms his recent form in the last tournaments and Draper confirms the expectations we have had for months. They both come out of a particular match and we will have to get back into it quickly.
