Big game ahead?
When you see the quality of the two players yes, but already two direct confrontations this year and each time a mastery of the German from start to finish. How can this meeting be different?
When I see Dimitrov's match against Murray, I quickly forget the one against Molcan. Agility, monstrous ground coverage, elegant and powerful forehand shifts. He proposed a real battle and a controlled aggressiveness at each point, to simply evolve at a level much higher than that of his opponent. The difference with Zverev is this quality of service on the one hand, and his level from the baseline on the other. The German has completely frozen Dimitrov's tennis this year by taking him to his own game and pushing him to overplay, and therefore to make bad choices. It's not an easy match up for the Bulgarian, and I fear that the outcome will be repeated a third time this season. Grigor is playing very well this season but has never managed to break his glass ceiling.
