Again !

5th Zvedev of the season. We'll end up believing that they like each other in the end 😅.

Meddie leads 3-1 this season, but I don't think we can really count on this stat because Z has only found its true level since the American tour for me. The first criterion that comes to mind is obviously the physical criterion. The Z arrives with a little less gas in the tank. And against Daniil, we know how important it is. Because we know their game by heart. Big serve, big ground coverage, big resilience, big champion mentality in important moments. We also know they have a tendency to stay far, a little too far sometimes, from their line. They both need time to organize themselves and thus use their opponent's power. I would say that the main advantage of the Z over Meddie is that it can give "pace", power, where the Russian has a little difficulty in outflanking his opponents. He must therefore "compensate" with cunning, and in this area, he excels... The schedule, the surface and the balls will therefore have their role to play tomorrow. The conditions will be rather intermediate I would say because we are not in a night session. But bullets wear out quickly. And Meddie's victories on the Z this season were acquired on slow surfaces where the one he lost was played in Cincinnati. Despite all these rational elements, the look of Z scares me. He can't really play a full match in 2 sets, and that's what scares me for him, but he still wins them all... with this coldness... Meddie is simply in very good shape and loves playing on these grounds. This will perhaps give him a slight advantage when the two players are in their mental battle...
