Kukushkin continues!

After a frustrating defeat at home last week I thought that Kukushkin was going to start again as a challenger until next season but no, he is indeed in the first round of this M1000!

Really too bad this match point was not converted by Kukushkin against Borges, he had completely disrupted him and taken him into his game. The Kazakh is no longer very young but he still has something under the hood, his game is extremely boring to maneuver given that his strikes are very low and have no effect like a Mannarino. He has a good ratio in this tournament with 9 wins for 6 losses, conditions which seem to please him. He notably made a 1/16th final after qualifying in 2018, he has the opportunity 5 years later to do the same thing again, so why not! Against Muller he will obviously have a game to play even if the Frenchman is finding good form at the moment. Our Frenchie will logically be favorite in this match but be careful it's an affordable first round on paper but which could quickly turn into a quagmire..
