Fabio on fire

My friend Fabio comes back out of nowhere but what fun to see him back on the main circuit, right?

3 match points saved against Bublik, almost 3 hours of match too, a real big fight and here is Fabio in quarter. We know his quality of striking but with fatigue it is less impressive so be careful tomorrow it may be one match too many... He will play against the defending champion Sonego who had a difficult first round but who seems to be improving in power with a much cleaner second round. He serves well and is gradually regaining confidence, you have to be wary of him when he is thrown into a tournament. First confrontation between them, we will have to speculate on the appearance of the match but I think Fabio will struggle. He already has problems serving with a lot of doubles and Sonego raises well, he can completely get frustrated and swing a little, we know the character. In the game the backhand diago is far to his advantage however and Sonego will try to shift often to break that. Not really an advantage I would say, I just think that the difference in service will make the difference and that Sonego will be relatively calm about its plays.
