Cilic finally back after only 2 matches in 2023, he lost leading 6/2 5/2 against Struff and won a training/exhibition match against Murray, hard to form a real opinion on his form and level . On the other hand Marozsan hasn't been able to train perfectly for a few weeks due to a small injury but that seems to be behind him. He won a big battle against Monfils in Auckland last week and it's the kind of victory that feels good, we see more and more of his potential. With his quality of shot and his well-hit cushioning he has the weapons to move Cilic and force him to make forward runs which the Croatian does not like. At 35 years old we can also wonder if Cilic can hold a big fight under 30 degrees in a 3 winning sets format after a year without a match.
