Big pressure for Rune
Absolutely everyone sees the Dane taking a Grand Slam title this year.
A good tournament in Brisbane to start the year, a few tough matches but he didn't have any bad opponents, that's normal. We already feel very good about him and he is obviously a serious outsider. We'll have to go through the rounds one by one and to start with, he's taking on Nishioka, Japanese is real poison. He has yet to play in 2024 and has withdrawn from two tournaments due to a left leg injury. Simple precaution or real big injury? Always hard to do a big match analysis when one of the players is possibly diminished.. IF Nishioka is 100% I can see him taking a small set, with his game and his mobility he could give a Rune a hard time sometimes tense at the start of the tournament!
