Purcell outsider?
Svajda is progressing well and is showing up more and more often.
Purcell's defeat last week against future finalist Giron, the Australian did not have a bad match and behind him he won the doubles title with his friend Thomson. He arrives here 48 hours later and will have to adapt to the outdoor conditions, the first set may be sluggish but after that it should be fine. The results are not great for him at the moment but he is fighting well, we feel that he is not that far away and that he is hanging on, this doubles title will do him good mentally and why not restart it in singles? We'll have to stuff Svajda, the young American is not impressive but he comes out of the qualifiers and will be in good shape that's for sure. We saw him hang on last week in a set against Duckworth then completely explode, he lacks the consistency to maintain this intensity. Odds-wise we are on a slight advantage Svajda, logical according to you?
