Like the good old times !
Hold on tight: this will be the 8th Mu-ffin in history with 7-0 for Sir Andy and NOT A SINGLE SET won by the Belgian! 😅
And here, I immediately think of Murphy's law: everything that can happen will happen one day 😅. Afterwards, if we go into a little detail (that's what we're paid for!), we realize that the first 5 matches were played when Murray was at his best. He had an average rating of 1.10, so we get it. The last one, Goffin returned from 8 months without a victory. There is just the penultimate which is a bit of a "surprise" because Goffin was in good shape while Murray was returning to his level little by little (if he ever returned to his level one day 😉). So there is a “match up” that is a little less disgusting than one might have thought. Now, we can easily imagine why Goffin's game pleased Andy, the question is: will he like it today? Seeing the mouth of the balls after 30 minutes of training, we may have some doubts. The bounce is a little high, and they play at 2 p.m. in central. The Belgian plays well again and comes out of two big fights in qualifying. He gets broken a lot but the main question for me is: how will Andy approach the match knowing that he is stopping after the summer? Is he ready to give 8000 of himself or is he hurt that he can't take it anymore and donates the last parts of his hip to science? Delicate...
