A match for Gilles Simon! Korda is historically a player that Daniil hates to play against, he lost the last two confrontations and I am sure that Korda is in this famous list that Gilou received! The match up is complicated for Daniil because Korda serves well, hits all areas, knows how to cut the diagos, slice, cushion, come to the net. In short Korda knows how to do everything, it's nothing new, when his body leaves him alone he has the potential for a top 10, lately it's clicking quite well with a few jerks but we had to give up against Rublev who is scary , fortunately he has reassured himself about his R1 and if he is 100% good he definitely has something to play for. Given that Medvedev is less efficient on serve and that he is in a sort of emotional transition where he becomes wiser and unconsciously fights less (at least that is my feeling this season). In short, not too much of a surprise given the analysis but I can see clearly...
