FAA collapses again?
The Canadian is often good at laying in the first rounds and even better on clay! Yum
Felix often hides behind his service when things aren't going well and on earth it's even harder to rely almost entirely on that. He doesn't fundamentally have the game to be good on earth and unless he makes a lot of progress on the surface I think he's not going to shine again this year. He has a record of one victory for 4 defeats in Monte-Carlo, catastrophic yes but let's not blindly knock him because the defeats are relatively logical. 2x Zverev, once Garin and once Musetti, no easy R1 in Monaco for him and we can say that Nardi is a good opportunity for him to have a lap. Bad luck, he's one of the most dangerous qualifiers this year, the Italian took out Djoko recently and then followed it up with a title on earth in Naples. He is hot as embers and comes out of the qualifiers (without being imperial). The form, dynamics, ease in the tournament, everything is going in his direction but FAA will fight as always. Nardi last year came out of the qualifiers before beating WC Vacherot, behind him he took a scathing 6/0 6/0 against Musetti but he was done, we can say he has pussy once again with a playable first round? He's going to boost the FAA service to the max and try to blow it up in the exchange, he's confident and a lot of things are going his way, right?
