Unpredictable Foki

When you play Fokina you are wary, Ruud is well placed to know that!

2/2 in direct confrontations with incredibly close matches each time except the last one this year. Quite logical given that Fokina is not having a good season at all, but nothing with him is in that direction so I wouldn't even be surprised to see him hit Ruud tomorrow honestly. This guy can struggle against anyone in R1 and pull out a monumental match in R2 against a top 10, we're starting to know the song. He's better against big guys, when he's forced to raise his level of play, he fucking loves it! In addition, he has already beaten Ruud at Roland-Garros in 2021, which shows that it is within his ropes even if I grant you that this season we feel he is less capable of doing it. For his part, the Norwegian feels that there is something to be done this year at Roland, the favorites are so far below what we expected that he almost finds himself favorite for the tournament by elimination.
