FAA all the way?
The Canadian withdrew from Hertogenbosh due to an adductor problem at Roland Garros
First match of the season on grass for FAA tomorrow, and the draw is far from easy in this first round. Koepfer is complete and plays well on all surfaces, we saw him play big matches last week for Stuttgart. He already has pace and marks on the surface, where FAA could take a little time to adjust. The Canadian did not win a match on this surface last year but he was going through a complicated period, this year he found his tennis again and his results are better. Which means he arrives with confidence, which is essential on grass. When you have to deal with tie-breaks or the end of sets hanging on almost every match, you start with a little advantage if you are confident in your game and in your head. This is why I see FAA having good tournaments on grass this time, it remains to be seen whether its adductor will hold up.
