A dangerous toilet?
Squire is taking advantage of WC in the German tournaments but for the moment nothing incredible to his credit, we will be wary in principle.
I say on principle because ultimately I discover Squire almost as much as you do. I saw him at Roland, a little on grass and that's it. I'm still trying to understand it well so I'm already eliminating potential value due to lack of knowledge. From what I've seen he serves well, he's a big guy with interesting potential forward play. He does quite well on clay but plays quite well in hard indoor too, we will say that this indoor clay mixture should be the best compromise for him. Indoor conditions only in the name, the ground in Hamburg is rather slow in general and this is clearly to the advantage of Cerundolo who masters this surface better. The Argentinian has not won a match since his defeat against Djoko at Roland Garros, a possible mental block? He didn't lose against painters and on grass we can't really blame him, this return to earth against a WC seems to be the good opportunity to get back on track. Note that he has already reached the semi-final once in Hamburg in 2022 by taking out Altmaier, also local, in the first round by losing the first set. I imply that the start will possibly be slow but that in the long run it should win.
