Well, how we meet again!
Interesting match between a Manna at half mast and an Opelka that we haven't seen for almost 2 years.
For his return to competition, we cannot particularly say that Reilly Opelka shone. It took him 2 sets to find his feet, but with the gusts and against the very original style of Constant Lestienne, the victory was the most important! In the 3rd set, the American had 100% points won after his first, i.e. 22 out of 22. We can therefore say that the guy adjusted well as the game progressed. This is good because the 3 times he beat Manna, he served steel. The Frenchman saw the aces fall, and had a few rare opportunities to break. But even if Manna has not been confident for some time, he is the title holder here, and a bit like Maxime Cressy, he intends to find some color in a tournament that suits him well. Reilly Opelka is doing well, he is certainly very happy to be able to play again without pain with all the adventures that happened to him (the guy ran into a shitty surgeon and everything...). But it's still been almost 2 years since he last played. So I dare to hope that he is not as regular on the serve as before, and that Manna will succeed in pissing him off with his game. Left-handed serve, move him forward/backward, counter... You are not All right ?
