Flip on the odds, flip on the paper?

You know how much I like to use the term "flip" on grass, from the outside this match has everything to be one but for me no! One of the two players is a little more favourite..

Harris semi-finalist in Mallorca and Barrere semi-finalist in Eastbourne this week, both arrive here with a fair amount of confidence even though Barrere's week is more impressive considering the names he has put out. I am not minimizing the Harris tournament but the table was open and not very high, it is nevertheless 5 wins in the pocket for him and a level close to that which he had before his big injury last season. A crazy quality of service all week and which should once again relieve him on this type of long format. Barrere has come up with some great names but I find him a little limited when the ball comes back too often. I like his aggressiveness on both sides and his ability to come out winners when you don't expect it, it's still a risky game and in a BO5 (best of 5 sets match), I favor consistency over flashes. Harris has a lot of free points on his serve and I think that will make the difference in the long run in this match, he will have to fight less on his service games and will be able to put more pressure on the return. The Frenchman is often in danger on his face-offs, his quality of service is not crazy and if Harris manages to raise correctly to install the exchange he will be more regular from the bottom. The South African knows how to be patient from the bottom and that's what is needed against Barrere, if his serve is as well regulated as in Mallorca he should be easily held and will have chances on the return.
