Serious bogeyman on this Thompson tournament..

Putting 0 and 1 on grass is a huge performance regardless of the opponent we face, yes Kovacevic twisted but Thompson released the perfect match for his first round

The guy warmed up as a dabbler, two volleys, a smash and a few serves and behind he puts 6/0 6/1 to Kovacevic. A hell of a character this Thompson but his level of play is very good, I could see him on a downhill form but he reassured me after almost two weeks where he was able to recharge the batteries. His match is perfect but without the feeling that he overplayed or was overreacting, he was just better than his opponent and gave nothing away. He will logically have more adversity against Broady even if I personally have trouble with the Briton. His first round was anecdotal, it was mostly Mochizuki who put out a shitty good match. We even saw Broady spinning the break when he served for the match, nothing very reassuring when it was a very quiet match before that. He won't have as many free points against Thompson, he will have to raise his level of play if he wants to win
