We could expect to see Daniil take a little time to get into his tournament but in the end he comes out with two good solid matches. A rise in power that emerges when you know his ability to become a real wall when he is confident. Against De Minaur the match up looks good on paper for the Russian, in fact, he will face a player who excels in covering his ground and who prefers to be attacked to counter. However, Medvedev spends most of his time patiently waiting behind his line, he will force De Minaur to take risks and force the game a little. Previous confrontations show it with 4/1 for Medvedev (his only defeat at the end of the last season when he was cooked), De Minaur doesn't actually have the game to annoy him and has to force things to get him out of his comfort zone.
