Always beware of the Lucky Looser..
Royal road for Popyrin who finds himself in the 1/8th finals having just beaten Altmaier, another Lucky Looser
The Lucky Loosers are polished and in good shape this season, we saw Struff being drafted before making the final of an M1000 in particular, we say it and we repeat it you really have to be wary of a player who has nothing to lose and finds itself still in contention by the force of events. Popyrin also took advantage of Jarry's package and here he is in the 1/8th round, lucky. So yes Ruusuvuori is a good player and shows that he can hit the top player but we have seen worse as a draw to reach the quarter-finals of an M1000 for Popyrin, it's a real chance and he must seize it. In qualifying he only lost against Purcell, when you see what the Australian did behind you can put this defeat into perspective. The pressure is clearly on Ruusuvuori's side, a player we like to take on when he is an outsider but not when he is the favourite, so who are we going to go with?
