McDonald's is on fire!
Can Mannarino break his dynamics with his particular game?
What a McDonald's match yesterday against Rune, so yes the abandonment suggests that Rune was down for a good part of the match but that's not the impression I had at the time. Rune was playing at crazy speed, he was hitting everything in rhythm and McDonald was just leaning on his ball to make it go even faster, it was really not clever of Rune. Total change of pace to come against Mannarino, THE player capable of disrupting thanks to his rhythm and his flat strikes. Two possible outcomes: Mannarino forces him to play too many shots and McDonald ends up exploding and not knowing what to do, either McDonald continues on his dynamic and imposes a big rhythm from the first strikes so as not to let Mannarino settle in the 'exchange. The second solution is the right one for the American, he knows what he has to do and I would be surprised to see him get into the French game. Still have to succeed in playing like that but honestly in the last games we feel full of confidence and very involved, it's good McDonald's
