What a poster in New York between a Dominic Thiem who rallies the crowds with his generosity in the effort, and a small local nugget in the look of a boxer!

Our Dominic comes back well with his final in Kitzbuhel and his 1ᵉʳ round mastered here (even if helped a lot by the whimsical Bublik). It's no secret that the US Open is a very special tournament for him. In his previous match, I noted that he served very well. It is always an indicator of confidence in a player. His very kicked second may well hinder a Shelton who will be a tougher and more constant opponent than Bublik. The American is still playing up and down and he will have to take care of his attacks so as not to give too much caviar to Dominic who loves passing shots. On the other side, the Austrian should not stay too far from his baseline against this profile. His left paw could bring him a lot of points otherwise, by finding a lot of angle in service in particular.
