Huge performance from Titouan, taking out Musetti for his first match on the main circuit is just exceptional!

Wow this victory of Droguet against Musetti I think we were really few to have seen it coming. The French climbed quietly in the standings but had no match on the main circuit, no reference and especially opposite it was Musetti anyway. Ok the Italian was not on his best surface but he remains a customer on hard. Droguet came back from afar, led 2 sets to 1 and broken in the 4th set, he pulled away and won a match he will remember for a long time. A good quality of service, he moves well and is quite comfortable in the small game. I did not know him more than that before this tournament but it is clear that we still have a young Frenchman with good potential , we will have to confirm all this in the coming months. Another player I knew very little about was Jakub Mensik, I had heard a lot of good things about him but I hadn't had the opportunity to see him play before qualifying. Well I was not disappointed. Only 17 years old and already a high level player, he's solid on serve and he hits hard on both sides, he may lack a bit of movement but the potential is huge. He put out a clean and mature game against a rather disappointing Barrere too. This will already be the 3rd confrontation between Mensik and Drugget but this time the stakes are enormous..
