After a big victory over Korda we saw our favorite Hungarian completely defeated against Hijikata at the US Open. A good break of about a month and here we go again?

Resumption tournament for Fucsovics who did not have to play the Davis Cup, enough to recharge the batteries and finish the season strong. Very slow conditions which may suit him, he is already restarting well and he will have that little extra time which can make the difference. His backhand slices will also have their effects especially against a player of Ofner's size. The Austrian has struggled since his big momentum on gravel, he does not confirm and has lost a lot of confidence recently. He even quit last week as a challenger with no apparent injury, he just took 6/1 and quit. Before this retirement he won two matches but without being brilliant and in faster conditions where he could rely on his two biggest weapons: his first ball and his forehand. On a slower hard surface with less bounce he will have to put in more and work to overcome the stubborn Fucsovics, is he capable of it?
