The Serbian succession is already here!
Djere is logically the favorite of the books for this first round, but what do we think?
After a big US Open Djere confirmed his status in the Davis Cup, 2 victories and a defeat. Defeat hanging on against an excellent Lehecka, nothing to be ashamed of. I'm still curious to see him evolve this week in slow conditions, I find him very good on land but also on very fast surfaces for several months. In an in-between where his ball won't squirt and where he's going to have to put a little more everywhere, it's interesting to see how he'll adapt. A bit of the same observation for Medjedovic who prefers fast surfaces (or high altitude lands), his best results are not in slow conditions. The young Serbian serves well and sends big stumps to both sides, I'm afraid that the slowness of the surface will really fail him, especially against a guy who holds his line as well as Djere.
