Dangereux...
Where is Arthur? Sometimes very good, sometimes inside... You have to follow him!
We have been following Arthur closely since this summer. He struggled to regain his confidence before having a great US Open. In Chengdu, he won a few matches with confidence, but without really shining. He had to retire from the doubles semis because of wrist pain. Which didn't stop him from making a trip to Europe to lose in the first round against Manna, before returning to China. Not much choice, it was that or the Beijing qualifiers (which in my opinion he should have done). Fabian Marozsan, renowned for beating Alcaraz in 2 sets in Rome this year, is a dangerous player. Powerful forehand, big use of cushioning (especially on land), he beats Gasquet in 5 sets at the US... then did shit (2 matches, 1 defeat). Everything is quite new to him, which may partly explain his inconsistency. First in Shanghai after a long journey of 19 hours, he will have to react quickly, having just lost against an aggressive player on the slow surface of Astana, the step is still a little higher with Arthur on a fast surface. ..
