A golden opportunity for Ugo!

A very open tournament and a real opportunity to go all the way given the current level of French, we're not getting excited but there's something to do in this tournament..

A spanking against Wolf to reach the quarter-finals, the Frenchman confirmed his good tournament in Beijing last week by coming out of big matches this week and he is still hungry. He finds a better Rublev this week, the Russian has gained strength and has not dropped a set for the moment, he has only been broken once in 3 matches. Clearly it comes out better from his racket and he finds the rhythm that he surely lacked last week. He hadn't played since the US OPEN and only had one match in his legs before losing to Ugo. This time he has 3 convincing victories under his belt and we know how hard he is to win when he is thrown into a tournament. It won't be mission impossible for Ugo who beat him last week and is playing great tennis at the moment but we will have to put out a full match without having too big air holes. The Frenchman's short preparations will help him contain and counter the power of Rublev but this match will not be decided on that alone.
