A victory against Baez more convincing than against Kecmanovic, the serve came out well and he made so many fewer stupid mistakes than in recent weeks. He regains confidence and we see Becker being very active/demonstrative in his box, that must over-motivate the little one. I asked for another good match to give him some credit back and I was convinced, I hope I won't be disappointed tomorrow. Etcheverry also surprised me in the first rounds against two guys who have a style of play that is not pleasant for him, but he got through it by working on the pitch and above all by believing in it. Match up once again not great since Rune is patient and knows how to set the rhythm or break it. Etcheverry showed that he could get through it even when he was given a losing lead in a complicated match-up so I'm not going to bury him just yet.
