Dimitrofort simply
A Bulgarian who plays easy top 10 like in the good old days..
So many expectations surrounding Dimitrov in his career and so much disappointment that we thought he would end up with regrets. With his XXL season he proves that he is still there and at 32 years old he still has some great seasons to come. He fought another great battle against Medvedev and I have the feeling that he is getting closer to the top players little by little. It's very sharp against players who are less good than him, he punishes them and doesn't leave them much room. The proof is with this victory over Musetti last week where he won 4 and 3 without being worried. The Italian doesn't excel on fast surfaces but he's a talented player and he's already 22nd in the world, which shows the margin that Dimitrov has over the guys outside the top 20. I don't really see what Musetti can change in his game in a week to cause him problems, with his one-handed backhand and his preference for shots with volume he cannot hope for much indoors. We're going to have to do violence and try harder things, that's the only solution because I don't see Dimitrov letting up.
