The Marterer trap?

An aggressive German who confirms his big tournament in Antwerp in Ismaning against a very strong Draper in indoor conditions but whose physical problems are still scary. Here is today's poster!

State of form : as described in the intro, very good for both!

Past performances in the tournament: 4 victories, 2 defeats for Marterer (a quarter-final), nothing on the English side

Match up : I don't think Draper is very bothered by big servers. Nor that Marterer is bothered by Draper's play being left-handed himself.

Strengths weaknesses: service and general aggressiveness for the German, does not like games with a lot of variation. Draper is very complete and strong in important moments. His great weakness is of course his physique.

Match conditions : last match of court n°1. Risk of playing late (6th rotation! 😮)

Possible scenario: two players with confidence. Either Draper takes the upper hand slowly, but surely thanks to a better average level, or he fails to break Marterer and we are left for the end of sets possibly clutch for the German, and perhaps physical for Draper if that is played in 3 sets.
