Really not an easy draw for the German, he jumps straight away?

Very strange Struff's first tournament in 2024, he was led 6/2 5/2 against Cilic and managed to win then lost another match in the decisive tie-break against Ofner. Two really bad matches from him, I didn't have the impression of seeing him at the level of his crazy series last year but rather on the continuity of his end of season. Hijikata got into his year much better than Struff, the Australian had a good tournament in Brisbane but he skipped in the first round in Adelaide last week against Evans. 1/0 Struff at H2H with a very realistic victory for the German who was on fire at the time as a challenger. The dynamic is not at all the same with Hijikata who has reached a milestone and will be keen to have a good tournament at home. The bet seems all mapped out to me..
