Where is Father Cristian?!
He who has so much difficulty getting back to his best level...
As well as struggling to get back to his best and only having a few peaks of form in the season, Cristian Garin withdrew from Auckland qualifying last week due to a right shoulder injury . Well, you never really know what's going on with guys. But the fact remains that he will arrive with few benchmarks against a guy who has shown him a lot of good things over the last two weeks. Christopher O'Connell is in good form, and it shows in his serve. He announced on the Asian tour that he was ready to do anything to get into the top 50, and I believe him. Garin will remain a tough guy, he has that in his blood. But it will lose most of the important points in my opinion. His game is based on consistency and baseline power. He's a guy who needs to match to feel good. So I wouldn't spend much on his skin. Let's now see what's on offer...
