The good or the bad Tiafoe?

After a good break at the end of the year and a change of staff we could expect to see the American starving at the start of the season but for the moment it's disappointing..

Not the ideal start to the season for Tiafoe while his opponent Michelsen is reaching a milestone. A 3rd round at the Australian Open, an interesting attitude and progression in almost all aspects of his game. His first round against Sandgen was far from being a gift and he remained focused on winning. He doesn't really have the profile of an American, he doesn't rush to the net and makes his opponents play well. This is what he will have to do against Tiafoe to win, Frances remains in a dry defeat against Machac, a player who challenges a lot and pushes his opponents to make mistakes. Michelsen is much less mobile but in idea he is capable of making Tiafoe play too many shots. It remains to be seen if that will be enough because Tiafoe will wake up one day or another!
