Shelton got out of a trap in R1 by starting his match badly, too many mistakes. He erased a good part of it and won, a victory which feels good. A bit of the same observation for Arnaldi who hasn't played very well since the start of the year but who put out a really good performance to take out Fritz, this one will also do him good! Both like the conditions here, the fact of playing in the evening and the public, in fact we have two quite similar post-match conferences! I think we should see a tight match with few break opportunities on both sides, Arnaldi really stepped up on serve and held a lot of match thanks to his first ball and we no longer present Shelton's serve.
