Vukic in 2024 is simply 1v for 6d, his victory was against Pachecho (699th) 7/6 7/6, okkkk. He has lost all confidence and it shows in his game, his big forehand serve combo is no longer as killer as it was a few months ago. He must fight like a madman on each point to win and it is not his flat backhand without power that will help him tomorrow. The conditions are slow, the balls wear out quickly (and he had already complained in Mexico about the balls), in short nothing is going well on his side. There is a glimmer of hope and it is the draw, it takes a qualifier and not the best one at that, the little stroke of luck to revive it? Mochizuki is not impressive, he is a good compact baseliner who will not make winners on every point but who will not make many mistakes. The Japanese already has two more matches in his hands to prepare well for the conditions, well on the other hand he beats Schwartzman and Hassan, we can't give him too much credit for that either.
