The revealer!
For me this match will give us a big indicator on Sinner's possibilities on earth this season
Sinner took out Korda, Struff then Rune today, the match against Holger was very competitive and he came out with difficulty, the other two are not good enough on earth to be given credit. So I'm curious to see what Sinner will do against a player who specializes in the surface and against whom he loses in H2H as well. Stefanos leads 5/3 including 3/1 on clay but no confrontation on clay since 2022. We know well that Sinner is no longer the same player and that he is obviously the favorite for this meeting but it is true that on this surface Stefanos is someone. The Greek serves well, has a monstrous forehand and on heavy clay he has enough time on the backhand side, Monte-Carlo is perfect for his game. Match-up level is not ideal on the other hand, Sinner hurts him with his power and aggressiveness, the Greek will have to put a lot of height and length into his strikes so as not to be too cornered. The Greek took out Djere, Etcheverry, Zverev and Khachanov this week, in other words only good players and he did not lose a set, he is extremely good this week and it is a real test ahead for Jannik. With his natural power, will he be able to impose his game and make this match less “earthly” than expected? Is Stefanos going to fend him off so well that he'll handle the Italian and get him with his earth science? Big match, I can't wait and I have a little bet for you too..
