A little Japanese Felix?
Nishioka is good to take on dirt especially at the moment, but we know FAA's ability to lose when he has to win!
Already Nishioka is not in good shape, the season on earth has shown itself. We know what he doesn't like to play there and we still see it because he has only played in Barcelona so far. No small 250 or even Monte-Carlo, he doesn't seem very motivated by the idea of playing on the surface. We know that it works a lot when desired, on an M1000 it would be worrying if it didn't give its all anyway. And honestly, even if you're at full strength, it's going to be tough against FAA, the Canadian is getting back to a good level, he's winning more and more matches with some nice tennis on top of that. We can say that Madrid with its legendary speed should succeed and yet it has only been in the quarterfinals once and otherwise it is defeat in the second round max! Yes but against whom? Nadal, Ruud, Zverev and a hot Lajovic last year, that's why Felix doesn't have a good track record here. Given his encouraging results recently and the lack of matchmaking/earth science on Nishioka's part, we can reasonably think that he should be fine, right?
