Coco + Lucky loser, explosive mix
We are always wary of LL and even more so when it is a player of Moutet's level
Moutet has been excellent for several weeks, his work as a challenger is finally paying off and frankly his level is really good at the moment. He lost in qualifying against a fiery Monteiro, nothing dramatic in a left-handed duel that was never obvious. There is another style that awaits him. Safiullin sends serious, on hard it's good, on dirt less. His aggressive, powerful play can hurt a lot of people, but it's true that we're going to have to put in a lot of effort to overtake Moutet. The French excels in this role of defender/blocker, he is made for it and should once again display his knowledge of the game against an opponent much less intelligent than him.
