The Djoker is no longer laughing

It's no problem for Novak to worry about smaller tournaments, but we know the ability of great players to seriously raise the level during Grand Slams!

Novak tried to reassure himself in Geneva by stringing together victories to arrive at Roland with full confidence. Two victories in the pipeline but a catastrophic overall impression, nothing is going well on the Serbian side. He had a gap against Hanfmann at the start of the second set, came close to dropping a set against Griekspoor and finally lost against Machac in a disjointed match. What worries us most is the huge drops in performance in these matches. Physically he seems to be in trouble and even mentally we don't see the Djoko we know. Since the beginning of the year we have been saying "yes Djoko is not at the top but when this tournament comes he will be there" except that no, Djoko is not there this year, he is doing poorly in most of his victories and in the end he did not win a title. Roland is not his favorite tournament and one wonders how far he will survive before breaking down. Seeing him go out in the first round against Herbert is almost impossible, the draw is good and he must take advantage of it to reassure himself a little, however in a format in 3 winning sets I am afraid that this format works against him, he could release at one point or another. Unfortunately for us punters, do we want to lay Djoko against Herbert on earth?
