Griekspoor holds his place

At the moment it's not brilliant what friend Griekspoor is proposing, we'll come back to that!

After a super hard R1 against Kecmanovic we had an easier Griekspoor for a set and a half against McDonald. But he got scared in the tie-break, coming close to going into a third set. On serve everything is fine, when he can rely on his first ball to dictate with his forehand then he loses few points. As soon as you have to work a little more it's suddenly less brilliant and you can see that he's not at his best level, for the moment anyway. I expect another match in this style tomorrow because his opponent Vukic is also a good server who relies heavily on his forehand. On the backhand side it's not very offensive but solid, he holds his diago and doesn't make too many mistakes. He had a really good match against Khachanov but we felt that at the end of the match he was very tense. If he were to serve for the match tomorrow I would bet against him, with a whole crowd against him and given Griekspoor's ability to come back from afar this week I think we can do something.
