Paul / Korda: round 2
Although the two players met last week on the same surface, their rating has not really changed. Let's try to find out why...
Their previous victory surely had something to do with it. Korda struggles against Hijikata where Paul takes out the almost invincible Draper. However, the match-up was not favorable to him, which proves Paul's very high level. This can legitimately be scary, and I admit I was wrong about its real level. The guy serves the steel and drives his opponents from the baseline, all with an almost arrogant relaxation. Once again, he won't have the power with him, but if he can read Korda's trajectories well, it doesn't matter. Korda got rid of a very dangerous Hijikata thanks to his mentality because the American was not playing his best tennis. He will obviously have to raise his level of play here, but we could logically be a little afraid of his performance over time against a hot Paul. It almost reminds me of his final against De Minaur...
