Atypical final?
It is certain that when we see that there were Alcaraz, De Minaur and Dimitrov in the draw, we may be surprised to see these two in the final. Especially Italian 😉
And yet, if they are there, it is because they deserve it. I was personally impressed by Paul's level in this tournament. We feel comfortable on the surface, and what's more, it's constantly evolving. This guy has periods of the year like that, like many others, during which you have the impression that everything is aligned. We are all certainly biased as human beings by their "coolness" which gives us an impression of ease. So I looked at his stats a little to avoid lying to myself, and it confirms what I thought: he has a very good ratio of winning points to unforced errors and plays the important points very well. No sensational shots or a mutant serve, but solidity that is both tennis, physical and mental. In short, a complete player in short 😅. On the Italian side, we no longer introduce him to you. I just want to say that we have found the Musetti of yesteryear. When he's in the right mind, he won't let you go. Small downside with some gaps on the back on the important points on the other hand, with in my opinion a little physical wear. But you know as well as I do, a final is a mental game. And in this game, it is the Italian who predominates with 2 finals won out of 2 against 2 out of 5 on Paul's side. This will be their first meeting and, unlike his match against Korda, Paul will not have to play as offensively I think. It's not easy to maneuver this Italian, because he defends excellently but can also quickly take over the game. This is a pretty special match for me, between two players of a fairly similar overall level, in which a lot of things can happen... I'll give you my opinion in conclusion 👇
