The Ajdukovic revelation?

Monstrous in Bastad last week we immediately have a lot more expectations around him this week especially since he is at home!

I already knew Ajdukovic before his breakthrough last week, I like his potential but he lacked a bit of maturity on the court and he proved to me that his game is already well established. He just needs to find consistency and he will be a good player, I especially like his backhand which is really strong and not at all a weak point that his opponents can target. What can we expect from him in this tournament? No big pressure to put on himself, he just has to serve well and get in when possible, against Darderi this is the game plan to adopt or you risk being attacked. The Italian worries me a little after his MTO for a back problem against Baez, it is a very dangerous area for a tennis player and I don't really see how this problem will be solved tomorrow unless it was minor (which didn't seem to be the case). If we do the math we give a big advantage to Darderi on the average level of play, he has already proven for several months that he is playing for his ranking on clay while Ajdukovic still has everything to prove, we do not know if it was a one-shot or a blossoming.
