A sharper place?

What if it was young Quinn who made us want to bet on him a little more in this match?

Kecmanovic in Toronto was the same circus as usual. His game level was clearly not at its best, but it was a big fight with huge turnarounds. With him, you have to be ready for anything, and it's not always pretty. He hasn't been good for several weeks now, and outside of GC, he's generally less efficient, which means that this week we have to pay attention to how he's going to play. The conditions aren't terrible for him; a hard, fast player with a not-so-high bounce is nice for his style of play. However, no big results to get our teeth into here. Not much that makes me believe in an instant awakening from him. Opposite us, we have the young Quinn, who has just lost twice against Nakashima in the last two tournaments. It's simple: Nakashima is more precise and stable than him on serve, and in the game, he's much too strong to be surprised. This means that Quinn has to fight longer on his serve, and behind him, he doesn't exist on the return, a disgusting matchup. Kecmanovic serves much less well than Nakashima but he can be just as solid from the back (at the moment I'm not sure). This is the first time they've met but given Kecmanovic's dynamics and Quinn's progress this season I think we're in for a big match!
