LL Alert
Nardi is a lucky loser this week and he just took advantage of it by beating Tirante
The term "beat" Tirante is a bit broad, I'll rephrase by saying that he played less badly than Tirante in the first. The Argentinian gave him the match with 43% first serve, chokes and an incalculable number of unforced errors, especially on the return. A real missed match and Nardi was just better but absolutely not having a great day, let's be clear. Yes, he's a LL who just won a round and has a fairly high ceiling sometimes in certain tournaments, but I refuse to give him credit for his victory, it was quite empty in the game. All that to say that I wanted to lay him a little on this R2 but he's playing Mister Shapovalov, one of the TS most capable of fighting alone on the circuit. Tirante's shitty match and well, Shapo is capable of it too, even if his basic game remains a little better. He disappointed us in Toronto, he was leading in both sets before collapsing and even Tien admitted he didn't know how he won that match! In short, Shapo! Obviously he's going to want to redeem himself and like FAA who bounced back well this week, that's what we expect from him tomorrow too!
