The beautiful adventure continues?
A great tournament for Bonzi like many other French players this week, it's cool!
Three wins in three sets at the end of the suspense for Bonzi, enough to give him back his confidence and validate his recent strategic adjustment choices. He is more aggressive, more enterprising and more at ease too, we feel the Mahut touch and it works like a charm! I still put a small question mark on the effectiveness of this game against different players because he beat an Arnaldi who lets his opponents play a lot and then behind he plays Musetti and Tsitsipas, two guys with a one-handed backhand that we can target a little more easily. Here he finds FAA, a one-handed backhand and a player much more active and different in his game. Already the Canadian serves well but he is above all very fresh! No big tournament in Toronto, a relatively close first match but it is easy then he takes advantage of Rinderknech's withdrawal in the previous round, he did not suffer from the conditions. Bonzi has had three big matches in his legs and even if he held up physically the sequence is tough especially when you face a guy who has played little. With his good dynamic and with a game full of audacity, Bonzi can start this match strong and try to hold on until it starts to get tougher. But there is also the probability that FAA is too efficient on serve and more solid from the back than the Frenchman who will gently crack over time in my opinion
