1+1
From the outside this match looks easy but something tells me it won't be that simple.
Kopriva has been simply bad for several weeks, I loved him on clay and I thought that with his game intelligence he could capitalize on his good momentum to continue to have decent results. Except that apparently his average level of play is not that high which means that with his lack of power he needs to be perfect everywhere because nothing is given to him. I saw his match against Galan last week and it was really not good, he is less solid than Galan from the baseline and has no free points on his serve. This time he can be stronger in the long channel than an Ofner, it is almost certain even. But the Austrian does not play in this channel precisely, he likes to impose a big rhythm and follow strongly behind his serve, the advantage of the surface is 100% in his favor. I recognize that he is in an extremely complicated period which explains his rating and the fact that we do not really want to trust him and rightly so. For me, he's the kind of player where you can quickly see when he's on fire and unplayable, lately that's not the case at all but I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a good result this week. It's a bit like knowing who is the least bad in this match and in this little game it's Ofner for me. He can hide behind his serve and attack Kopriva on the return.
