Countdown
Medjedovic seems to be affected by extreme conditions.
It was still the case against Rinderknech, Medjedovic caught a heat stroke and seemed to be struggling to finish the match, it's not the first time that's happened. A short day of respite today with less than 30 degrees but still high humidity and clouds, conditions a little less extreme, which is good for him. For this second round he faces a more physical player on the other hand, we will have to remain vigilant from the second set but the big black mark against his opponent is that he is also struggling physically. Indeed, Fearnley has completely disappeared since the grass season, he chose his tournaments a little randomly it seems and he took some good beatings. He is clearly not 100% physically and has just given up again due to "fatigue" last week in challenger, it's very worrying especially since he doesn't seem to be performing very well in these conditions either. In terms of match-up, he will have to pay particular attention to his first serve percentage because he generally plays a lot of doubles and knowing Medjedovic, he will try to attack him hard on the second. The Serbian does not give physical guarantees on the length of the matches but his average level of play is much higher and when we see Fearnley's form it is even harder to believe in him.
