Goffin is completely wiped out and it's up to Quentin to take advantage!!

We knew that the recovery would be tough for Goffin after a truncated preparation at the start of the year and a new injury that was quite annoying for him. I expected him to find a bit of rhythm quickly but my god it's lousy and even alarming! In his last matches we feel he's out of shape and almost elsewhere altogether. It's not really his style and given his profile it's immediately impactful when his physique doesn't follow. He can't rely on his serve or on powerful shots to shorten rallies. So yeah, super worrying before starting this GC in a long format that seems too hard for him. And I want to say that he's not taking the best draw either, because yes Halys is in "crisis" too but in GC I often find him interesting because mentally he's tough. He hasn't won a match for a long time but it's not the first time he's had some weird preparations for the GC, I'm not super worried even if one or two wins would have been cool. He remains the favorite for this match just by the fact that physically he's already going to hold up, something that we can't say about Goffin at least not given his last matches..
